The Miracle of Stackable Containers and Bins
The value of stackable storage options is nothing new. You have probably seen images like this on various cargo ships, trains, etc. Hopefully your level of clutter has not risen to the point of needing one of these containers, though it may certainly feel like it at times. Regardless, all of our homes would benefit greatly from a unique and valuable organization approach involving stackable containers and bins. After all these, containers really maximize the usage of your available space not only by going up into unused voids, but also by filling smaller openings on your storage racks or shelving units.
Most people have some sort of shelving or racks in their garage or basement that they use to store containers of various types and sizes. Everyone of us could probably improve the level of organization of these areas if we gave them an honest look. First off, take note of how much unused space is still available. Most of us only have a single layer of containers on each
level, with plenty of open air above. this is where stackable containers and bins flourish. If you were just thinking that you are all out of usable storage space, then you will be surprised how much you can fit in that open space in your racks and shelving units.
The value of going vertical with stackable containers and bins is fairly obvious. But, these types of bins are also a life-saver when it comes to using that last little bit of horizontal space in a storage area as well. Due to the wide variety of sizes, shapes, and types of stackable totes, there is really no excuse for having unused space to the side of your existing containers. Imagine a stack of skinny little containers like those pictured to the right and how nicely they would slide right into that void next to your current containers. After all, maximizing your usage of your current storage space is much more cost effective than adding on more by purchasing additional storage racks.
